Pelvic floor physical therapy can influence a myriad of body systems and help individuals address functional areas including:
- Urinary Function
- Frequency, urgency, stress, urge or mixed incontinence/leaking
- Interstitial cystitis
- Bowel function
- Constipation, incontinence, rectal pain
- Sexual function
- Painful sex, vaginismus, and vulvodynia
- Pregancy and peri/postnatal related pain, weakness, or scarring/adhesion
- Pelvic organ prolapse

- Lower back, tailbone, or pelvis pain
- Pain or weakness following abdominal, gynecological, prostate, or pelvic surgeries
Our clinicians understand that successful treatment requires special knowledge and skills. The staff has completed specialized training in interventions to manage these conditions.
Treatment may include:
- Exercise for retraining weak muscles and relaxing overly tense muscles
- Education on body changes, bladder retraining, voiding mechanism, home programs
- Biofeedback to direct the correct muscle function
- Electrical stimulation to identify and retrain the weak muscles
- Modalities for pain management
