Visitors & Patients

All patients are treated by Witham Health Services without regard to race, creed, color, sex, religion, ancestry, sexual orientation, marital status, national, origin, economic status, educational background, or the source of payment of care.

General Admitting and Patient Registration 

The Information Desk located at the main entrance of the hospital is staffed Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Hospital staff and volunteers are available to greet patients and visitors entering the hospital. All hospital and main laboratory patients should check in with our Information Desk so that we can get you to the proper registration area. 

During the registration process, information and authorization will be needed for your medical record and financial responsibility. All information will be handled confidentially. We respect your privacy. Please bring all insurance materials with you, including your insurance card and/or Medicare/Medicaid cards.

Other helpful information to bring with you include a medical history, a list of medications you take and your advance directive form, if you have one.

For your convenience and to reduce wait times, patients may be contacted at home by a registration staff member in order to "pre-register" for an upcoming scheduled procedure. By pre-registering, the patient will only need to sign the paperwork, show verification of insurance and identification upon arrival at the hospital.

After Hours and Weekends

Weekdays from 8 p.m. - 5:30 a.m. and all day on weekends our main hospital entrance is closed. Please enter through the Emergency Room entrance at the back of the hospital and check in at the ER registration desk.

Emergencies

If you are experiencing a medical emergency and are seeking care from our Emergency Room at any time, please enter through the Emergency Room entrance at the back of the hospital and check in at the ER registration desk.

Visitors

General visiting hours are 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. For the safety of our patients, individuals experiencing fever, cough, sore throat, diarrhea or vomiting are discouraged from visiting until symptom free for 24 hours. Some hospital units may have additional visitor guidelines.
