Witham is pleased to offer the best in surgical breast oncology. R. Thomas Schmidt, M.D., was the first surgical breast oncologist in the State of Indiana. He currently serves patients at our Whitestown at Anson location at the Witham Breast Care Center.

Witham’s specially trained breast surgeon will provide clinical and radiographic correlation and consultation for your individual treatment plan

Dr. Schmidt is proficient in traditional surgical techniques, as well as progressive, minimally invasive procedures (minimal tissue removed). Patients travel from across the state and farther for his care and experience. He performs surgeries at Witham Hospital in Lebanon, Indiana, and at other locations in the surrounding area.
