Sunflower Award Winner Announced

Please join me in congratulating Kim Hale as our Sunflower Honoree! Kim works as the Manager of Respiratory/Neurodiagnostics. Kim exemplifies Witham’s mission by providing personalized care. Below is an excerpt from Kim’s nomination (written by Maria Curley in accounting):

While standing in line at the Witham Perk, Kim and I were discussing how things were going. Kim said she, and her department, have been extremely busy. A few moments later, a patient walks by with a breathing-type of machine. Kim noticed that his breathing device was cracked and that he needs to get a new one. Kim went to the patient and asked him if he knows where to go to get a new one. The patient informed Kim that he has the number to call for a new one. Kim then says that if he cannot find a new one to call her she will locate one for him. Kim wrote her phone number down for the patient. He proceeded to tell Kim and me about his stay at Witham last week. He said he had pneumonia and Dr. Huffer took excellent care of him. I was impressed that even though Kim mentioned that she is extremely busy right now and tried to get a quick bite to eat, at 2:00, that she was still so giving of her time. She went above and beyond in patient care.

Kim, thank you for taking the time to make a difference in this patient’s life. You make patient care such a high priority. Congratulations on this tremendous honor.
