Current Restrictions to our Extended Care Unit
Effective May 3, 2024
Mask requirements to be determined by the county transmission level.
Please follow signage posted on unit.
Social distancing and hand hygiene guidelines must be followed.
When indicated masks must remain in place, ensuring the nose and mouth are covered, or the privilege of visitation may not be honored.
- Children under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult.
- No limit on visitors
- No strict visiting hours
- End of life - no visitor restrictions
The Extended Care Unit will continue to follow the CDC guidelines. Please do not visit your loved one if you have signs and symptoms of COVID, such as, fever of 100.4 or greater, cough, sore throat, nausea, vomiting etc.

Witham is committed to helping you gain your independence and getting you home faster. We offer an extended care unit, in addition to our robust outpatient rehabilitation center. This unit supports Witham's acute care services by extending its continuum of care to include skilled nursing. This is especially important to orthopedic and other post-surgical patients who need additional support to reach their full recovery potential. In addition, rehabilitation therapy is easily accessible to increase strength, endurance and mobility so that patients develop personal and social independence quickly and in a safe environment.
