Dr. Don Boyer Medical Scholarship

Witham Health Services is honored to award a scholarship in memory of Dr. Don Boyer. Dr. Boyer was raised in Kirklin and received his Bachelor's degree from Indiana University. He received his medical degree from McGill University in Canada in 1956. Dr. Boyer practiced general surgery at Witham Health Services from 1962-1994. He also served as the President of the Witham Hospital Board of Trustees and was a longtime member of the Witham Health Services Foundation.

This scholarship is awarded to one individual who has been accepted or enrolled into an accredited medical school in the United States for a full course of study leading to the degree of Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy. The Dr. Don Boyer Medical Scholarship is an award in the amount of $10,000 that is renewable annually for four years. The Dr. Don Boyer Scholarship will be open for applications in 2025.
